We have developed training materials on using Quarto in research. They introduce researchers to Quarto, GitHub, and Markdown as tools for sharing and organising research more openly and reproducibly.
On 1 June 2026, we used these materials in an in-person workshop for the Department of Health and Community Sciences at the University of Exeter on 1 June 2026.
All materials were developed openly and remain available online:
- Workshop site: https://pythonhealthdatascience.github.io/quarto-tutorial/
- Workshop site GitHub: https://github.com/pythonhealthdatascience/quarto-tutorial/
- Template/Codespace used in workshop: https://github.com/pythonhealthdatascience/quarto-template
The aim was to provide a simple, reusable starting point for building Quarto websites that can serve as research homepages, project sites, or documentation hubs.
